Howdy! I’m originally from New York but I absolutely love my mid-west home in Columbus!
By day, I mentor aspiring local hosts. I have high standards for value, cleanliness, and communication. I enjoy travelling. Through these travels and coupled with my 20+ years landlording, I’ve learned what makes a great experience: a comfy home, a friendly host and the ability to do the things you love! Situated in Franklinton, the property is a two story, side by side twin double (aka duplex). The adjacent unit is occupied by a tenant.
When you enter the property you will be in the living room. Next, you'll enter the family room and then into the kitchen. The bathroom is adjacent to the kitchen.
In the living room you'll find a large flat screen TV, decorative faux fireplace, three lounge seats and an ottoman.
The front living room light is connected to a Goo gle mini. Say, “OK Goo gle, turn on the light”. I also have it on a smart plug that will automatically turn on at night so you don’t arrive at the property in the dark.
Bed linen and towels are provided. Tissues, Travel sized shampoo/conditioner and lotion, a feminine napkin, are also provided.
Enjoy high speed 600 mbps WiFi. All the TVs are hooked up to ROKU - perfect for you to watch your subscribed tv channels. Most rooms are equipped with Goo gle minis - easily turn on lights with voice commands.
Kitchen is equipped with updated appliances: refrigerator (freezer), microwave, toaster, coffee maker, pots and pans, dishes/utensils, and electric stove. The dining area contains a dinette table (seats 2).
The bathroom contains a sink, commode and a shower stall — please note: there is no bath tub.
Upstairs, you’ll find the newly renovated bedrooms. All the bedrooms were painted and new carpet installed. The front bedroom has a full sized bed, a smart TV, desk and a small closet. The other bedrooms are occupied by the host. Typical of older homes, the staircase has a low ceiling.
Although I do not offer washer/dryer services, however, there is a laundromat at a nearby plaza on Broad Street.
Although the property does not have central air conditioning, I have window AC units upstairs and downstairs.
The neighborhood is old and transitioning. I’m all about full disclosure and doing business with integrity. If you prefer Taj Mahal accommodations, I encourage you to seek another property that will meet your expectations.
The property is competitively priced. Simply go to the booking calendar and plug your dates and # of occupants. It will give you an itemized breakdown based on the number of guests (fees, taxes) before making the booking.
Guests will lodge upstairs in the newly renovated front bedroom and share access to the first floor of the home such as the living room, family room, kitchen, and bathroom. The Airbnb host occupies the middle and back bedrooms.
