One of the best things about São João do Estoril is its beaches. There are two m(hidden)eaches in the town: Praia da Poça and Praia da Azarujinha. Praia da Poça is a small, sheltered beach that is perfect for families. Praia da Azarujinha is a more secluded beach that is popular with surfers.
4 minutes to the beach on foot, 5 minutes to the train station which runs to Cascais in 5 mins or to Lisbon in approx 20-25 mins.
You can walk along the beach promenade by accessing the beginning of the path just 5 minutes away as it is alongside the beach. Here you can walk all the way into Cascais in under 30 minutes or Estoril in 13 minutes.
