Description de l’appartement
Furnished for a cozy and peaceful stay in the city center of Split, the apartment lets you enjoy the novelties on foreign soil with the conveniences at home. Everything you need is within walking distance of a few minutes. If you are looking for a hotel style accommodation, our apartment is unlikely for you. If you are looking for a home away from home, you have probably come to the right place.
Housed in a hundred-year old stone house in a quiet neighborhood, the apartment (about 28 m2 or 300 ft2) is ideal for 2 persons to explore everything Split has to offer.
Dependent on your age and how fast you can walk (-: , the apartment is 5-10 minutes away from the historic old town, ferry pier, bus terminal, train station and the most popular beach in Split named Bačvice. So you can explore the UNESCO World Heritage Site of the Diocletian Palace, the Cathedral of St. Dujam and the lively green market, enjoy the special events and performances on the famous seaside promenade of Riva, go for a day trip to the islands like Hvar or Brač, visit nearby towns of Trogir, Sinj or Omis or indulge in the clear blue sea under the sun.
The apartment is completely furnished: a bedroom with twin/double beds, a fully functional kitchen with all utensils, an oven and a microwave oven, a toilet with shower and a hair dryer, a living room with a sofa bed, air-conditioning, HD cable TV and wireless internet.
You'll get clean bed sheets and towels every week if your stay is longer than a week.
We love the serene neighborhood and nice people around us, not to mention the daily conveniences and great events in center Split for having a good life here.
Most people refer to our area as "Radunica" although it is actually the name of the main street here in Lucac suburb of Split. "Radun" means "water spring" in old Illyrian. Settlers from the Republic of Poljica came to the area about 500 years ago. Many of the streets are named after the old families living here for many generations: Nincevica, Dumanica, Prvana, Kuzmica, Ruzica, Trumbica, Vesanovica, Dvornika, Duplancica, Bubala and Petrica etc. Some of them have sold their family houses to live in other areas of Split over the years though. One of the streets is named "Kukoc". If the name "Toni Kukoc" comes to your mind immediately, you are right that the street is named after his family.
Radunica becomes even more lively when the residents celebrate "The Days of Radunica" in the last week of June every year. The fiesta is celebrated in honor of St. Peter.
