My home is steps away from 3 major bus stops. We are close to Forest Hill Station, the orange line, which you can take to downtown Boston and the airport. You are 8 minutes by walking to Roslindale Square, which has many lovely quaint shops and eateries. Buses/trains close by to take you to major areas...hospitals, universities, cultural centers, cafe... The city is designed for bike lovers to get around.
