The home is located next to a little park in the Spaarndammerbuurt, a charming neighbourhood with distinctive Amsterdam School architecture, surrounded by national heritage buildings.
Location
The Spaarndammerbuurt is one of Amsterdam’s hidden gems. Tucked away between the Westerpark, the Jordaan, the IJ waterfront, and the redeveloped Houthavens, it combines village charm with city convenience. Around the corner, the lively Spaarndammerstraat offers everything you need for daily life: supermarkets, a bakery, handy local shops, as well as cosy cafés, coffee spots, and popular restaurants such as Café De Walvis, De Pizzabakkers, and Pinsa’s.
The neighbourhood also offers excellent recreational options: the open-air Brediusbad swimming pool is just a 5-minute cycle away, and Westerpark with its cultural venues is within walking distance. The A10 ring highway is easily accessible, while Central Station and Sloterdijk Station are both a short 10-minute bike ride away. Bus lines 22 and 48 stop right around the corner, and the ferry quickly connects you to NDSM and Amsterdam North.
Nearby, the Houthavens offers schools, childcare facilities, and a vibrant social scene, including Theater Amsterdam and waterfront restaurants such as Pont13, Vessel, and Rem Eiland.
Layout
The maisonette has its own private entrance from the street.
On the ground floor, a spacious hallway leads into the bright through-living room with a sitting area at the front and a dining area at the rear, seamlessly connected to the open kitchen. The modern kitchen is fitted with a 5-burner gas hob, refrigerator, dishwasher, and a combi oven/microwave. A separate tabletop freezer is also included.
Large French doors at the rear open onto a private east-facing terrace, perfect for morning coffee or al fresco dining. The terrace is connected directly to the secure communal courtyard garden – an ideal, safe play area for young children.
The hallway also features a cloakroom and a guest WC. The staircase leads to the first floor.
Upstairs, the hall provides access to three bedrooms, a laundry/storage room, and the bathroom.
The master bedroom (with walk-in closet) is located at the front and offers a lovely green view over the park (Spaarndammerplantsoen). It has direct access to the bathroom.
