The apartment is conveniently located. The Groot Hertoginnelaan 223B is in the international zone, so the Peace Palace, Europol, Eurojust, OPCW and several multinational companies are a short bike ride away. Schiphol, Amsterdam and Rotterdam can easily be reached by public transport. Tram 3 to Central station and tram 11 to Holland Spoor station stop around the corner.
During your time off you will appreciate that the apartment is nearby several shopping streets, such as the Reinkenstraat, Fahrenheitstraat and Frederik Hendriklaan. You will find cafés and restaurants within walking distance. It is a ten minute bike ride to the beach and ten minutes the other way to the city centre. Bus 21 takes you to the further out northern beach (Zwarte pad) and tram 11 also goes to Scheveningen Harbour, if you don’t feel like cycling.
Lay out
Entrance at street level in the former mansion with beautiful entry hall with original features, tour separation with stained glass, marble floors, wainscoting and ornaments.
Stately stairs to the third floor. Entrance apartment, hall, very bright L-shaped living-/dining room with access to white open kitchen in L-shape with upper and lower kitchen units, synthetic top and equipped with 4-burner stove, hood, oven, dishwasher and fridge-freezer combination and washing machine. From the sitting room French doors open to a spacious sun terrace of approx. 3.30 x 2.88 facing southwest and equipped with ramps.
Stairs to the fourth floor lead you to a landing with wardrobe, fully tiled bathroom with walk in shower and wash basin, a side room at the back of approx. 3.20 x 2.55 with access to a second roof terrace, a bedroom at the back of approx.. 3.70 x 3.25 with two skylights and dormer.
All linens are provided (bed, bath and kitchen). The apartment has wooden flooring throughout.
We are looking for one person who will be staying in the Hague between 31 days and 2 months for an internship, course or research assignment.
