We love hosting! If you are our guest, you become part of our family. We enjoy talking with our guests (in French or English). Especially evening meal is a wonderful time to get together while enjoying a good dinner. We appreciate very much guests who want to create lasting friendships.
Our unique architectural house is located in the nicest subdivision in Gatineau-Hull. We have big garden just one street away from the Gatineau Provincial Park and with bike paths leading to the center of the city.
There is a bus stop 5 min away. Our subdivision is quiet, but well equipped with stores of all kinds.
We love hosting university students! University of Ottawa and Ottawa center is 35-45min by direct bus connection. The Université du Québec en Outaouais (UQO) is less then 30min by direct bus or 20 min by bike.
My husband and I work from home, so we have time for our guests. I am professional artist and book illustrator. If you want to see my work you can look for Romi Gatineau illustrator. We love skiing, hiking, art, outdoors, cooking, watching movies, gardening and music.
We LOVE and do a lot of sports. Cross-country skiing is my favorite. We have access to ski and bike trails starting right across the street. In winter it can be as cold as -30C early in the morning and in summer as hot as +35C in the afternoon! Nearest downhill ski center is 15 min away by car.
ADDITIONAL INFO
1) Bathroom is semi-private, shared with one guest (if we have another guest).
2) We offer discount for guests staying longer than 4 months. Rebate (50$) starts on the fifth month and is applied every month for the rest of your stay.
3) We have mandatory meal plan (all you can eat - 14$/day). I love healthy homemade cooking and baking. Mostly we eat dinner altogether. For other meals; you can eat with us or take food from our fridge, anytime you are hungry.
4) Please keep in mind that we require our guests to submit us a copy of their ID (before check-in) by email, which will be provided once the booking is confirmed online.

The room is on first floor, very quiet with big window facing southwest with
semiprivate bathroom (exclusive for two guests) with shower.
Meal plan - 14$/day. All you can eat at home, packed lunch if you go out.
