This is an ideal area for newcomers to the city, given its proximity to the waterfront, public transportation, and plenty to see and do. Sports lovers can walk to two of the city's major stadiums, not to mention a variety of bars, pubs, and eateries along the shoreline. Those who prefer to cook for themselves can shop for everything they need at Safeway or Trader Joe's. Buzzard Point is served by the city's Green Line subway via the Navy Yard-Ballpark and Waterfront Metro stations.
