I am German living in Belfast for over 20 years. I have been hosting on Airbnb for almost 8 years but no longer feel that the companies business model works for me.
Interested in a wide range of things from arts to outdoors. I am finishing off my PhD with lots of writing to do and work seasonally as a tour guide. I have extensively explored Ireland North and South, a keen hiker, sailor and cyclist. I just love the outdoors but can converse about many topics. I would love to share with you some tips on sightseeing and local hospitality (anything from typical tourist destinations to off the beaten track hidden gems).
I have worked in Community Development for 20 years and now have taken up on an opportunity to study full-time towards a PhD in Business Management. Outside of work, I have a busy social life and whilst the house is shared, if you like your privacy you will be able to enjoy the house with liberty, as I spend much of my time out and about. I have extensive local knowledge so if you are here for sightseeing 'off the beaten track' I have a few tips up my sleeve. Fluent in English, German and some basic French.
