It takes about 15 minutes to walk from the Agnesviertel to the cathedral. Cologne Zoo and the Flora, the botanical garden, are also not far away.
On the lively Neusser Straße you can do your shopping and in the Alte Feuerwache (old fire station) on Sudermanplatz, now a community centre, people meet for a Kölsch in the evening and at the weekend.
