The booming neighborhood of Perrache - Charlemagne is part of the Confluence urban renewal project, which includes high-end apartments, a shopping center and office buildings built on disused industrial land. The Musée des Confluences hosts scientific exhibitions, and works of art are presented in the conference center of La Sucrière. Trains from Lyon-Perrache station serve the cities of Paris and Marseille. The streets are dotted with cozy brasseries, trendy bars and international cafes offering take-out food.
