Where is the Masaryk University located?

MUNI Main Campus

Bohunice Campus

MUNI Faculty of Education

The building of this faculty is in Staré Brno, on the banks of the Svratka River. From here you can reach the city centre in about 15 minutes by public transport.

Faculty of Economics and Education

This faculty has its building to the west of the centre of Brno, approximately 15 minutes by tram.

Ponava Campus

In the Ponava neighbourhood are the faculties of Informatics, Computer Science, Veterinary and Pharmacy, and Law. It is north of the city centre, about 15 minutes by tram from it.

Best neighbourhoods to live in near the MUNI

Some of the most convenient neighbourhoods to live near the Masaryk University campuses are:

Brno-město

If you live in the centre of Brno, you will be close to many of the MUNI faculties. This neighbourhood is convenient, especially if you are attending the main campus of the university, although keep in mind that it has very good connections by tram or on foot to the rest of the city.

Veveří

In this neighbourhood, you will be close to the institution's main campus and the one in Ponava. It's usually packed with students, so you'll also find plenty of affordable bars, cafés, and restaurants here.

Staré Brno

In the neighbourhood, called Old Town, you will be close to the Faculty of Education of Masaryk University. In addition, from here you can quickly reach the city centre on foot, as well as enjoy its restaurant and leisure offers.

Student residences Near MUNI

Masaryk University offers its students the possibility of applying for a place in different student residences. You will be able to rent a room according to the period in which you will be in the city, be it a semester or less time. Also, you have to take into account that in residences, you will be able to choose a full room for you or a shared one for up to four students.
