Where is the University of Córdoba located?

The faculties of this institution are spread across four different campuses:

Campus Centro

As its name suggests, this campus is located in the centre of Córdoba, in the neighbourhood of La Magdalena. It is composed of modern and ancient buildings, including the Carmelite convent of the city, which has a beautiful 17th-century baroque cloister. The following faculties are taught here:

Menendez Pidal Campus

Located south of the centre of Córdoba, in the Parque Cruz Conde neighbourhood, it is very close to the Guadalquivir River and the Córdoba Zoo Conservation Center. This is mainly the UCO Health Sciences Campus, although it houses the following faculties:

• Educational Sciences and Psychology

• Labour Science

Rabanales University Campus

This is the largest campus of the University of Córdoba. The positive thing is that it can be reached by train or bus, taking approximately 15 to 25 minutes. The following faculties and institutes are located here:

• Faculty of Sciences

• Higher Technical School of Agricultural and Forestry Engineering (ETSIAM)

• Higher Polytechnic School of Córdoba (EPSC)

Belmez Campus

This is the campus that is furthest from the centre of Córdoba, as it is located in the town of Belmez. It has the Belmez Higher Polytechnic School, which is attached to the UCO as another teaching centre.

Best neighbourhoods to live in near the UCO

Córdoba Centre

Córdoba's centre has a lot of history and stands out for having a great daytime and nighttime atmosphere, making it a good place to live if you are a student or young professional. Additionally, the UCO Campus Centro is right there, so you can consider the areas of La Magdalena, San Lorenzo, and Santa Marina.

Las Margaritas and Cercadilla-Medina Azahara

These two neighbourhoods are a few minutes' walk from the centre of Córdoba and are close to the city's main station, from where trains and buses leave to reach the Rabanales University Campus.

Poniente Sur (Vista Alegre, Parque Cruz Conde and Ciudad Jardín)

The suburban area composed of the different neighbourhoods of Poniente Sur is very convenient if you are going to the Menéndez Pidal Campus of the university. The cost of rent here is usually more affordable than in the city centre, although it also has easy access to it. Additionally, you will be able to enjoy various natural areas, restaurants, and leisure places.

Student residences near the UCO

The University of Córdoba has an accommodation service for those students who are looking to live in a residence hall or university residence during their studies. It currently works with three residences (Lucano University Residence, Belmez University Residence, and University College Residence) and there are waiting lists, so it can be very difficult to find accommodation in them.
