Room description

A peaceful retreat near Dresden: a lovingly renovated apartment on a shared four-sided farmstead with a special atmosphere, a beautiful courtyard, and sweeping views of the Schönfeld Highlands.

The accommodation is located on the upper floor of a small half-timbered house on our shared property. The private area covers approximately 43 square meters and includes a large living room, a sleeping loft, and a private bathroom. In addition, over 90 square meters of shared space are available for use, including a large, fully equipped kitchen, a utility room with a washing machine, and a coat closet.

The rooms were renovated using high-quality, eco-friendly construction methods. Wood, clay plaster, oak flooring, and exposed reclaimed wood beams create a warm and unique atmosphere. Many details were crafted by hand—this is what gives the rooms their character and special charm.

The farmstead itself is a historic four-sided courtyard in a very quiet, rural setting with no through traffic. Old vines grow along the half-timbered facades, and the sheltered courtyard features seating, a fire pit, and firewood for evenings around the campfire.

The surrounding area is one of the most beautiful landscapes near Dresden. The Schönfeld Uplands are known for their sweeping views, meadows, and small villages. Saxon Switzerland and downtown Dresden are easily accessible. From your room, you’ll have a view to the west, with beautiful sunsets and a view of the TV tower.

Socializing is possible here, but not required. The large kitchen is currently used by only a few people, and you often have it all to yourself. This is currently the only guest room on the farm, which creates a quiet and intimate atmosphere. Some guests enjoy socializing and sit together in the courtyard in the evenings or eat with us; others prefer to keep to themselves—both are welcome here. If you're looking for some peace and quiet, you can also enjoy a relaxed meal in your room and have a more private stay.

Since we’ve only recently opened our accommodations to guests, you may be among the first people to experience this special place. We welcome guests who appreciate unique places and are open to staying at a farm that is still evolving and changing.

Additional important information
• The sleeping loft can accommodate two people. The stairs leading up to the loft are relatively steep—not a ladder, but not a traditional staircase either—and are therefore not suitable for everyone.

• The renovation of the courtyard is not yet fully complete. One apartment is still undergoing interior finishing work, and the outdoor areas have not yet been fully landscaped. Construction materials or scrap wood are currently still being stored in some areas.
