This is the neighbourhood in which the HSD campus’ located. In fact, it takes just a few minutes to walk to the faculties from almost everywhere in the area. It’s a residential neighbourhood with a quiet atmosphere. Although it’s further away from the centre, it’s very well connected by public transport to the rest of the city. It takes about half an hour to reach the old town of Düsseldorf.
This neighbourhood is in a midway point between the university and the city centre. It stands out for the cultural sites that are on the bank of the Rhine River, such as the Ehrenhof centre, inside of which is the Kunstpalast art museum. Its main street is full of shops, bookstores, restaurants and pubs. It takes about ten minutes to get to the university from there.
It’s Düsseldorf’s city centre, so it’s surrounded by all the must-see places in the city. The atmosphere is very lively, as it’s full of shops, bars, and restaurants. From Stadtmitte, you can get to HSD campus in about fifteen minutes by tram.
