The flat is located in Sao Joao do Estoril, on the bay of Cascais, about 25 km west of Lisbon. The area is famous for its many beaches and the very pleasant climate. At the end of the 1930s, Estoril was regarded as a loophole for exiles and spies, and later as a popular seaside resort for Europea monarchs. The once sophisticated flair can still be felt.
It is just a 5-minute walk from the flat to the beaches. From there you can walk along the beach promenade to the lively town of Cascais or enjoy yourself in one of the many cafés. The beaches are guarded, the water is very clean, and some of them are also ideal for surfing.
There are three supermarkets in the close vicinity of the flat, a wonderful fruit and vegetable shop, a shop with biological products etc. and a variety of cafés and restaurants. Lisbon can be reached by a train that runs four times an hour (even late in the night), within 30 minutes. The train station is 8 - 10 minutes away by foot.
The flat is in a typical portuguese block of flats with a very nice neighbourhood. There is free parking in front of the building, but there is also an underground car park. Estoril has a very privileged location, climatically, but also because of its vicinity to the Sintra National Park with its numerous sights and attractions that can be reached very easily.
The flat is on the 1st floor, but since the house is on a slope, you have a beautiful, bright and open sea-view. The flat has 80 sqm with two small, bright bedrooms and a large living room with balcony to the south-west. One bedroom is equipped with a comfortable bed (160 x 200) and a very good mattress, in the second room is a day bed that can be quickly converted into a double bed (160 x 200) and a small workplace. Both rooms as well as the living room have an open view of the sea. You will find linen, bedclothes, blankets, towels etc. in the flat.
The kitchen is large and offers a beautiful view of the lush green gardens of the Estoril villas. It is equipped with gas cooker, oven, dishwasher, washing machine. In the hall you will find a large wall cupboard with plenty of storage space, including a yoga mat and beach accessoires and another (lockable) built-in cupboard. High-Speed WIFI is well received throughout the apartment. Should it get chilly in the evening, there is a modern and economic heating possibility in the living room and another electric heater. The windows are new, so you can keep the (sometimes) rough Portuguese wind outside.
