Located in Cologne's outer green belt, Müngersdorf is one of Cologne's most popular residential areas. Müngersdorf has a well-developed infrastructure and, in addition to the sports university, four other educational institutions, including the "Freiluga", the open-air and horticultural school.

Cologne city centre and the University of Cologne are around 5 km away and can be reached quickly by public transport (3 minutes' walk away), bicycle or car. All shops for daily needs are within walking distance. Cologne/Bonn Airport (CGN) is around 20 minutes away by car.

The nearby green belt is ideal for hiking, jogging and cycling. Pure nature directly in the city.
