We are a family of three, Erika, my husband Neil, and Oscar our son, who is 16 years old and one cat, Evie. I've worked with international students for years, and as an IB (international baccalaureate) English teacher and examiner for an international boarding high school for many years.
Neil, originally from England, has a lovely cafe in the west village named for our son, called Oscar's Place.(hello fish and chips and great classic English breakfasts!) Oscar attends the Bronx High School of Science, a specialized public school he worked hard to get into, so he studies a lot!
Our location is near the 7/10 and 9 bus to the 1 train into Manhattan and the rail link to Metro North into Grand Central. We are a couple of blocks from Mount Saint Vincent College, a beautiful campus overlooking the Hudson River, complete with a castle!
Our home is on three floors with a finished basement, two beds, a small dresser and closet, and a private bath. The unit has a separate entrance. We have a partition to separate the stairs and private quarters from the upstairs.
We're also an active and early to bed family and early to rise (usually to bed at 10:00 pm, up at 6:30 am) which is not to say we're not fun!
