Thanks to this, it is usually full of students and has different types of accommodation available, although its atmosphere is quieter than that of the city centre.

Galgenveld

This neighbourhood is between the centre of Nijmegen and Heijendaal, where the RU campus is located. Because of this, it is very convenient to live as a student, as you will be close to both the buildings where you have classes and the liveliest areas of the city, which are in the centre.

Nijmegen-Centrum (Stadscentrum and Benedenstad)

The city centre of Nijmegen is the liveliest area of the city, with the largest number of shops, restaurants, bars, monuments, and entertainment venues to go out to. Here you will also have access to some green areas and you will be able to reach the RU campus quickly both by bike and by public transport.

Student residences near the RU

RU offers some places in university residences for international students. However, due to the housing crisis in the Netherlands, these places are very limited, so they cannot guarantee that you will be able to obtain one. For this reason, we recommend that you look for rooms in private shared flats, where it is easier to find accommodation with the characteristics and location you prefer.
