An elagant and finely furnished one bedroom apartment is available for rent. It is on the 1st floor of a listed building located on the hill of Monticelli which is 2 hours south of Florence, 2.5 hours north of Rome and 20 minutes from Perugia, the capital of Umbria. This apartment is composed of a kitchen, a living room with a very large fireplace and a bedroom with direct access to its bathroom.
Several of the listed buildings on the hill are over 1400 years old and have been recently restored under the supervision of the Italian Ministry of Culture. Originally the buildings were a fortress at the border of the Easten Roman Empire with the Lombards. It later became a benedictine monastery and after 1474 a summer and hunting residence of aristocratic families. For more information search for Castello Monticelli in the web. There is a breathtaking view from the windows of this apartment and from all the terraces on the top of the hill. One sees if the weather permits it, the city of Perugia at a distance of 16 km, Mount Subasio of Assisi at a distance of 35 km and Monte Amiata in Tuscany at a distance of 70 km.
The minimum stay is 3 months. The rent includes condo fees, Wi-Fi, Internet, the use of Smart TV and of the parking space. The the use of gas, water and electricity is not included in the rent. The Internet connection at Castello Monticelli is very good; this often attracts digital nomads to spend here several months. We have 1 hectar of common gardens, 2 parking lots, 2 pools and a small spa.
