Retired but still active, we welcome travellers to our wonderful York, to experience real Yorkshire hospitality, food and the unique culture the area has to offer. We let out 2 rooms, both light and airy and with stunning views over a field, a golf course and a little lake, yet we are just 3 stops on a bus that goes to the city centre every 10 minutes! You can just stay, or let us show you this fantastic area.
No pets here, but we feed the garden birds that come into our little private garden.
Our house is over 100 and we furnish it with a mix of antique and modern furniture, but it is always comfortable, clean and cosy. We have a big shared, busy family room and a quiet lounge. We enjoy cooking local and international meals, will cater for special diets for a small extra price, but you can also use the modern kitchen for drinks and snacks only. Please note, we now reserve the right to refuse guests if the coronavirus is a threat.
Double room on the first floor near a shower room, with a double bed, wardrobe and desk with drawers. Window faces South. The heating boiler is behind a cupboard off this room, so warm, but with a carbon monoxide detector for safety.
