What you'll need
To send the request you usually only need your details and a payment method. After acceptance, the landlord may ask for an ID or passport and, in some cases, proof of income, enrollment or a guarantor.
Complete your booking on HomeStay
On HomeStay you send the booking request, and you are not charged anything until the landlord confirms. Once accepted, you pay the first month on their platform and you may be asked for an extra document, such as:
- ID card or passport
- Proof of solvency
Come on, move in
Arrange your arrival date, key handover and everything else directly with your landlord. Remember also that most providers transfer your money to the owner only 48 hours after your arrival at the house.

Room description

My family and I live in a quiet and safe residential neighborhood in South Burnaby. We have been hosting students since 2007. My husband and I have two kids, one 16-year-old and one 14-year-old. We value safety, cleanliness, kindness and respect in our home.
We have two rooms available for students located in the main floor. Beside the two rooms is a full bathroom solely used by students. We only host female students. Each room has a single bed, drawer, closet, hutch/ study table, study lamp, and window.
Our location is:
*3 minutes walk to the bus stop
*12 minutes walk to Edmonds Skytrain Station
*35 minutes by skytrain to Downtown Vancouver
*walking distance to park, Tommy Douglas Library, Highgate Village, Edmonds Community Center

We charge $1200 every month, including wi-fi, TV, full laundry once a week, breakfast and dinner. We ask the students to keep their rooms and common areas tidy. Students must clean after themselves. Sleep over are not allowed. We ask the students to ask us first if it is ok to invite a friend/ classmate.
