This is the main campus of Istanbul University. It houses several impressive academic buildings and is located in the Beyazit neighbourhood of the historic area of Eminönü. Some of the faculties that are based here are:
They are located next to each other, in front of the previous campus, in the Vezneciler neighbourhood. In addition to housing the Faculties of Sciences and Literature, they have conference rooms and the Rıdvan Çelikel Archaeological Museum.
Located in the Vefa neighbourhood, this campus is also a few minutes walk from the main İÜ campus. Here you will find the School of Foreign Languages and the University Institute of Marine and Business Sciences. It also has some sports facilities.
As its name indicates, this campus is located in the Çapa neighbourhood, about 10 minutes by tram from the historical area of Istanbul, to the west. Its facilities are centred on the Faculty of Medicine, with the University Hospital and other clinics.

Eminönü offers a unique student experience in the heart of Istanbul! This is where several campuses of the institution are located, such as the Beyazıt Main Campus, Vefa Campus, Vezneciler Campus and Laleli Campus, so you will be able to reach them easily. However, keep in mind that it is a fairly touristy area. This means that there are a large number of bars, restaurants and entertainment venues available, but you will also find streets full of tourists.
This area is located next to Eminönü so ,as well as being home to the Çapa Campus, it offers good access to the campuses that are located in that area. In Fatih you will be surrounded by history and impressive monuments, such as the incredible Süleymaniye Mosque. Here you will also find a wide variety of cafes, restaurants and local markets.
Aksaray is very close to the previous neighbourhoods, so from here you have easy access to most of the major İÜ campuses. The neighbourhood is known for its lively urban atmosphere, with shops, restaurants and cafes that reflect the cultural diversity of Istanbul. Furthermore, the proximity to the Grand Bazaar and the district of Sultanahmet adds a historical and cultural touch to your environment.
Although private shared flats are usually the most common accommodation alternative in Istanbul, you will also find some student halls available.
