The best neighbourhoods to live in depend on the campus you'll be attending. Here are some suggestions:

São José (Ponta Delgada)

This neighbourhood is located in the city centre and is popular among students. It has a lively atmosphere with many shops, bars and restaurants, as well as good transport connections to the Ponta Delgada Campus of the institution.

Fajã de Baixo (Ponta Delgada)

This is a residential area located a few minutes walk from the Ponta Delgada Campus. It has good public transport connections and is close to supermarkets, cafes, and restaurants.

Centro de Angra do Heroísmo

This is the liveliest area of the island and where most leisure sites and places of interest for students are located. You'll also be able to reach the Angra do Heroísmo Campus of the UAc in about a 15 minutes walk.

Student residences near the UAc

This institution has two university residences, one at the Ponta Delgada Campus (Laranjeiras Residence) and another at Angra do Heroísmo Campus (Morrão Residence). However, keep in mind that it is usually difficult to get a place in them due to the high demand that there is every year.
