Where’s the University of Toulouse III Paul Sabatier located?

It has several campuses in nine French cities, but in this article we’ll focus on the Toulouse campus.

This is the main campus in the Rangueil district of Toulouse. It is very well connected to the rest of the city: it takes about half an hour to get to the centre.

In the university area you’ll find many facilities for students, such as the Henri Gaussen Botanical Garden, agro-ecological gardens and libraries.

• Observatoire Midi Pyrénées (OMP): it’s an Observatory of Sciences of the Universe (OSU) and an internal school of UT3. It gathers laboratories working in the sciences of the universe, the planet and the environment in the Midi-Pyrénées region. It’s where UT3 campus is located. It’s a residential neighbourhood in the south of the city and popular among students for its vitality and friendly atmosphere. It's full of bars and restaurants where you can try the local food and enjoy the ambience. It’s also well connected to the rest of the city by tram and underground, a 20-minute ride from the centre.

St - Agne

This quarter is very close to the Rangueil quarter, next to the University. It’s south of the centre and close to the Canal du Midi. It’s a very well connected neighbourhood to the rest of Toulouse thanks to its proximity to the Gare Saint-Agne train station, very useful to move around the city.

Château de l'Hers

It’s in the east of Toulouse, half an hour by public transport from the University. It’s named after the castle of this hilltop neighbourhood. Although it’s a little far away from the University, it’s a very popular area among young people for its peace, outdoor sports areas and proximity to the centre of Toulouse. It’s a half-way point between the city and the University.

Erasmus at the University of Toulouse III Paul Sabatier

• Most classes at UT3 are taught in French, so a minimum level of B2 is required to enter the Erasmus programme at this University. Also, note that Erasmus students have the opportunity to attend 24 hours of French classes per semester at UT3 and get three credits recognised by their home University.
