Flats and rooms for students near UEK

To find suitable accommodation near the institution, you first need to identify where it is located, so that you can then consider the different neighbourhoods nearby. We will tell you all about this in this section.

Where’s the Kraków University of Economics located?

This institution has a single campus located in the Grzegórzki district, northeast of Krakow's historic centre. It’s very close to the city's main railway station, Kraków Główny.

The UEK campus is large, covering around seven hectares, and includes both historic and modern buildings. In addition to classrooms and administrative offices, it has a sports complex (including an indoor swimming pool and gym), libraries, laboratories, computer rooms, and much more.

The UEK is divided into three faculties, which are: Faculty of Economics, Finance and Law, Faculty of Economics and Public Administration, and Faculty of Management and Quality Sciences. Classes for all of them are taught on campus, most in Polish and some in English.

Best neighborhoods to live near UEK

The following are some of the favourite neighbourhoods by students of this institution due to their proximity to the campus:

Grzegórzki

Located just east of the old town, this district is home to the UEK campus, making it ideal for those who want to be close by. However, it’s quite a large district, so your travel time will depend on where you’re staying. Grzegórzki has a wide range of student accommodation, with relatively reasonable prices for its proximity to the campus.

Kleparz

Kleparz is located north of the historic centre and right next to Krakow's main train and bus station. It’s ideal if you want to be very close to the campus and the historic centre, with good connections on foot or by tram. Rents are more affordable than in the centre, but you’ll still be within walking distance of everything you need.

Wesoła

This neighbourhood is found east of the historical centre, in the heart of the city, with access by foot or tram to the UEK campus and its main cultural areas. It’s undergoing significant change and the objective is to convert Wesoła into a new creative centre in the city.

Residences for students near UEK

Krakow’s a city that’s prepared to welcome a large number of students. It has several private student residences, all in different locations but close to universities.

The UEK also has its own university residences, where you can choose between shared rooms (for two or three people) or single rooms that are actually studio-type (with a bathroom and small kitchen).
